Compatibility:

This machine is compatible with most standard dies (including Thinlits, Framelits, and more), standard and 3D embossing folders, and steel-rule dies (all products sold separately) from a variety of manufacturers.
This machine is also compatible with the Glimmer Hot Foil System (sold separately).

How To Set Up Your New Platinum SIX Machine:

Find a workspace to use your machine and ensure that it is a clean, flat, dry, and smooth surface.
Place the machine front facing so the metal post is to the right side of the machine (the metal post has one flat side). Position the turning handle arm on the metal post, making sure to match the flat side on the post to the flat side ion the turning handle arm opening.
Slide the washer into the screw and place both inside the opening at the top of the turning handle arm. Use the supplied Allen wrench and turn the screw clockwise to tighten. Insert the included cap to cover the screw.
To remove the turning handle arm, turn the screw counterclockwise to loosen and pull it off (be sure to place the hardware back in a bag and keep it where you can find it easily).

How to Prepare Your New Platinum SIX Machine For Use:

Use this machine on a clean, flat, dry, smooth surface. Make sure there is nothing to get in the way of the trays lying flat when opened. The rubberized bottom of the machine will provide stability on the clean, unobstructed surface.
Pull down the trays on both sides to slide the platforms and sandwiches through the machine.
When finished, fold up the trays for more compact storage.

How To Clean Your New Platinum SIX Machine:

Clean your machine with a slightly damp cloth. Do not use a cleaning product or chemical cleaners. Canned air can be used to remove dust and debris from small areas of the machine.
If the handle requires lubrication, place a small drop of household dish detergent between the white and silver parts of the turning handle, and rotate the turning handle to distribute the detergent. If the handle needs cleaning, remove and immerse it in clean water and clean it with dish detergent.
DO NOT use WD-40 (sold separately) on your machine.

TIPS:

Spellbinders cutting dies (sold separately) allow you to cut, emboss, deboss, and stencil. These dies will cut through a variety of materials such as paper, cardstock, thin foam, thin chipboard, thin fabrics, and thin leather. It is possible some of these materials may not work depending on the intricacy of the dies. The Contour steel rule dies cut multiple layers of many materials including chipboard, wool, felt, fabric, and thin craft metal sheets (all materials sold separately).
When working with other companies' products (sold separately), test them first. Most products will work with the New Spellbinders Platinum SIX Machine, but new products are always coming out that may not be compatible because of their thickness, etc.

WARNINGS:

There is a pinch hazard, so avoid the roller gears and/or placing your fingers between platforms and plates.
Do not overload your machine or apply excess pressure.
There is a cutting hazard so avoid contact with the die blades.
Supervision is required when used by children.
Do not use outdoors or near water.
Only use on a clean, dry, and flat surface.

WARRANTY:

This machine comes with a limited one-year warranty. "The Platinum SIX machine is warranted to be free of defects in workmanship and materials. Spellbinders will repair or replace a defective product or parts without charge with proof of purchase. If the product is damaged due to misuse or neglect, the warranty is null and void."
